  1. Graphics and Visualization Final Project

  2. Hello! My name is Marielle LaCosse, and I’m a rising junior at Durham School of the Arts. I’m interested in a career with music education, but I would also like to minor in graphic design, which is why I chose to take this class.

  3. Project I chose to create a house in Sketchup that corresponds with my personal interests. It contains a rather large studio and a first floor that has the same functions of a normal house.

  4. Process To pseudo-complete my project, I first had to give myself a crash self-learning course in Apple technology. That was fun. Second, because I’ve had the idea of this home bouncing around in my head for a couple years, I just had to create it in the new program.

  5. Difficulties I’ve always been able to teach myself, and I had no problem teaching myself to use Sketchup. The only problems I really had was the fear of not finishing the project in the amount of time we had because I am extremely detail oriented. I try to make sure everything is perfect, and I work harder when that project is with new tecnology.

  6. Enjoyable Memories I must say, what I enjoyed, was creating the home and furnishing it myself. I’ve thought about a career in home decorating, but it’s a bit of a hit or miss career, and I’d rather go into a field that is stable and promising.
