  7. Navy MFs that Require Replacement? • ELU-1 (x2) CR-01s • GSS-041 • PPC-226 • AIMD Washington (x2) CR-01s • PAQ-160 • GSG-283 • AIMD Bahrain (x1) CR-01 • RJF-456

  8. S/E Workstation Allowancing • The planned S/E to MF ratio is three 2M workstations per MF (3:1). • Current PMA-260 planned allowance—x67 sets • 2M workstations required for x28 (CR-04)MFs—x84 sets • 2M workstation delta—x17 sets (shortage)

  9. Replacement Mini-comp MF • CR-01s: CCSPRW, TTSA11, HMXXXX and MCCXXX • MCCs are being absorbed into host MALS / sun-downed • Total requirement for sixteen MFs (x19 now / x16 future) • TTSA11 asset (CR-01) seems peculiar—need CR-04? • CR-02s: CCSPFW • Total requirement for twelve MFs (x12 now / x12 future) • In order to replace all current CR-01s and CR-02s; TBA would require (x28) CR-04 MFs • Need ASL-34/MARFORs to establish future MF requirement

  10. Proposed MF Design Changes • Eliminate all MF exhaust fans • Install new fume extractor with better installation design • Incorporate 1,000 foot candles fluorescent lights under kendorf • Eliminate Surface Mount Technology Rework Station (CR-02) • Only install three 2M workstations per MF vice four • Eliminate desk & countertops adjacent 2M workstations • Install small, ergonomic shelving to left/forward of each 2M workstation for high usage items (i.e., Q-tips, flux, solder, etc.)

  11. Bench-top Plenum/Arm Extractor

  12. Arm Evac 50

  13. Proposed MF Design Changes • Gather Fleet 2M technician input; establish MF requirements • Install 18” deep shelving behind 2M workstations for supplies (i.e., wire, Kim wipes, acid brushes, lint free rags, etc.) • Install 18” deep shelving for SRA/WRA work load • Install small SRA/WRA curing oven (still required)—MR-01 • Install small sand blast booth (still required)? • Consolidate work from other MFs into single design

  16. MALS-41 CR-04 Recommendations • Space made under the Kendorf to allow for the PRC-2000 to be mounted. Leaving more work space available. • Request additional counter space for processing of gear. • Move electrical drops into upper right corner of each station. • Recommend chairs with wheels. Allows for ease of movement when working on gear. • Cleaning booth not utilized.

  17. Additional Counter Space for processing gear
