  1. Sobek God of the Nile By Brendan Donilon

  2. Sobek's History • Sobek is said to to be the god of the river, warfare, and fertility. • He had the head of a crocodile but the body of a man. • Other names for Sobek are Sebek, Sochet, Sobk, Sobki, Soknopais, and Suchos in Greek • Sobek’s mother is thought to be Neith, the god of creation, hunting, and dead.

  3. Sobek Myths • Sobek was thought to have caught the Four Sons of Horus in a net. • Another myth was that Sobek laid eggs on the bank of Nun

  4. I drew this picture of my god SOBEK • Sobek was feared by the egyptians because there were so many crocodile attacks. • But then he was thought to be a creator god so people started worshiping him. • Egyptians even worshiped live crocodiles because they believe this was Sobek in crocodile form.

  5. I drew this picture of SOBEK’S CROWN • Sobek’s headress was made out of feathers with a sun disk on top. • Once he had the sun disk put over his head he was known as Sobek-Ra.
