When- Friday, October 26th (5:30-8:00pm) • Cost- $3.00 for entrance and 8 game tickets • Additional game tickets are .25 cents FALL FESTIVAL Participate in a paper volleyball tournament,pie eating contests, performances from Jam club and Dance club, and many more fun activities. SECA STUDENTS ONLY UNLESS APPROVED BY MS.KIMBERLY

  3. Student ID card • Student MUST wear their ID at ALL times. • If students have forgotten their ID, they will need to get a temporary ID from front office for a fee of $1. • If student has lost their ID, they must purchase a replacement ID for $5.

  4. Are You Interested in Attending an HBCU? (Historically Black College & University) The National College Resource Foundation is hosting their annual Black College Expo, Saturday, 10/27/18, 10 am – 3 pm. 50 + Colleges/Universities will be in attendance.(Spellman, Morehouse, Grambling, Southern, Fisk, FAMU, Howard, Hampton, Wiley, TSU, Prairie View A&M, and more.) Seniors will need to bring copies of their high school/LSC transcripts, ACT/SAT scores, and letters of recommendation. Juniors will need to bring copies of their high school/LSC transcripts, and letters of recommendation, Admission will be $7 per student if we have 15 or more students sign up to attend. 11th and 12th grade students interested in attending need to sign up with their AVID teacher by 10/9/18. THIS WILL BE A GREAT EVENT, DON’T MISS OUT!!!!

  6. Week 1 Oct. 1st-5th Monday-Wear pink ribbon for support Tuesday-Hat Day Wednesday-Wear pink Thursday-Wear pink socks Friday-Breast Cancer Trivia (to be done in clubs)

  7. Week 2 Oct. 9th-12th Tuesday-Survival Story Day Wednesday-Wear pink Thursday-Dress up the faculty and staff Friday-What does breast cancer awareness means to us (in clubs)

  8. Week 3 Oct. 15th-19th Monday-Cancer Sucks! Lollipop Bucket (all week) Tuesday-Remembering our loved ones we lost to breast cancer Wednesday-Wear Pink Thursday-Decoration of the cancer tree Friday-Create a gift mug for cancer patients

  9. Week 4 Oct. 29th-31st Monday-Pajama Day Tuesday-Pink Lemonade Day (given after school) Wednesday-Wear Halloween Costumes (MUST be school appropriate and the school dress code STILL APPLIES!!) Wednesday (cont.)-Pie Day

Sell pink slushies all month Pie Day-Students can donate 25¢ for 1 vote, 50¢ for 2 votes, and $1 for 3 votes inside a box and write the teacher they are voting for on a card and put it in the ballot box. Voting will be from Oct.15 until Oct.29. On Oct. 31st the teacher who gets voted the most will receive a whipped cream pie to the face. At the end of the day, it will get recorded. Survival Day-PowerPoint with a collection of B.C. survivor stories. Memorial Day-Students can give stories of loved ones who fought the battle of breast cancer to be displayed in a powerpoint and on the cancer tree. Students can be anonymous if they choose. Cancer Sucks! Bucket- Bucket of lollipops with the stick colored.Whatever lollipop you pull depending on the color of the stick is how much you pay (free-75¢). Cancer Tree- Paper tree with pink ribbons, survival stories, answers to the question asked in clubs, and memorial to passed family members to be displayed outside of Ms. Wiley’s room. Dress Staff/ Faculty- Students bring wacky pink items for staff/ faculty to wear. Pumpkin Dress-Up Competition- Teachers can decorate a pumpkin; whoever has the coolest pumpkin wins a pink Edible Arrangements basket

  11. IMPORTANT BACTERIAL MENINGITIS INFORMATION FOR JUNIOR AND SENIOR STUDENTS Check your MyLoneStar account. If you have a Bacterial Meningitis HOLDyou will NOT be allowed to take any college courses on the LSC campus. Please see your AVID teacher for a copy of the LSC approved 3 Ways to comply with the bacterial meningitis vaccination requirements. Please adhere to the directions for complying with the vaccination requirements! DO NOT request a copy of your shot records from the nurse, that information will not satisfy the requirements!! Bacterial Meningitis holds must be resolved before Tuesday, 11/13/18!

If you are interested in earning DSG hours please see your AVID teacher to sign up for one of the shifts. Thank you.   17. Office Passes *Students, whenever you are in the clinic or any office in the building and you are late to class, please bring the pass you are given to return to class to the front office, to get an official office pass. This will help greatly with attendance coding. Thank you.

  21. FOOD DELIVERED for students • Students this is a reminder that ONLY parents are allowed to deliver a lunch for you at school, and your parents can only bring a lunch for you.

  25. MEDIA CENTER EXPECTATIONS • No Use of Foul Language. • Work Quietly, Stay on Task. • Use of your cellular device should be for academic purposes only! You should not use your study hall and/or student assistant time to play games on your phone. • No Laying down and NO Sleeping! • Conduct Yourself as Young Adult. • No Horse Play. IMPORTANT NOTE: Failure to adhere to the expectations of the Media Center will result in appropriate consequences. Thank you!

  26. Sack lunches • Students if you will be returning on the 1 p.m. bus from Lone Star, please make sure to pick up your sack lunch before leaving to Lone Star. You will not be allowed to pick up a lunch from the cafeteria when you return. Please submit request for lunch by 7:50 a.m. Choices: • Ham & Cheese Sand. • Turkey & Cheese sand. • The Box- PB&J • The Box Deconstructed Parfait • The Box Protein Pack • Pop Corn Chicken Salad • Spinach, Bacon & Egg Salad • Spicy Chicken Salad.
