6. 2. Objetives • Complement the Volcanoes product in Tenerife, through the links between geology and astronomy. This links would be through the relationship between the cultural and natural resources and astronomy. • Giving tools to local entities for increasing the value of the geologist resources from Tenerife and their astronomy-related resources. • Promoting the image of Tenerife as a volcanic island and one of the excellent places in the word to do stargazing.

Objetivos • Coordination and coherence between products: Volcanoes + astronomy + complimentary services • Promoting the image of Tenerife and Teide National Park in the context of the UNESCO Word Heritage. Mainmessage • Tenerife as a volcanic island related with the sky and astronomy. “Volcanoes and Stars” to show the relationship between human activity, our landscape and the universe. • Tenerife landscapes are used to give one unique experience to our visitors. They would be able to enjoy and feel like they are travelling to other planets. • Tenerife is one of the excellent places in the word to do stargazing.

15. 4. Conceptualization of the Tourism Product • Teide National Park and its surroundings are the main resources for developing the stars product in Tenerife. The activities developed inland and on the coast are going to complete the product. • Tenerife has in its territory almost all types of volcanic phenomena you can find in the Solar System. • Relationship between the island’s cultural and natural heritage. • Relationship between nature-related activities, gastronomy, accommodation... • Product focused on sustainable activities, taking care of the environment. • Relationship between the different sectors (private and public).

Nextsteps: examples StarmusActivities The Starmus Festival is open to anyone who has a passion for astronomy, science, the arts and music, and who has a desire to know more about where we came from and what’s out there. Activities at Starmus are not just limited to the talks. There will also be a Teide star party, gala dinner, cocktail reception, space legends tribute, a roundtable discussion in the GTC telescope, sonic universe concert and tours to visit the observatories in Tenerife and La Palma.
