Where We have Been • Redesign IDVA Static Website • Provide Easily Accessible Emergency Information • Provide Links To County Services • Create New Page For Families Seeking Help • Include Vital Information For Mental Health, PTSD, Counseling, And Treatment • Establish Read Only Documents • Scope Funding ( $20,000)Used For New Site Content Development Support

  3. Interactive Forms Scope FundingPhase II • IDVA has applications for many state benefit programs • Veterans Trust Fund • Vietnam Bonus Program • Injured Veteran Grant Program • Operation Recognition • War Orphan Tuition Assistance • County Grant Program

Scope and Design Funding Scope Funding Provided: $20,000 • Scope funds were used to determine the preferred process for online forms • Veterans will complete and submit forms online • Once received, required information will be electronically added to IDVA’s database • Veteran will be informed electronically that their application was received • ITE then developed a Business Plan and established the proper database system.

Scope and Design Funding Design Funding : $89,700 • Design funds were used to: • To determine the best process for IDVA; • Create Mock-up Screens; • Create Administration Screens; • Development Database; and • Establish the Business Model • Design phase came in under budget! • $37,000 back to IOWAccess

  6. Implementation Funding Request Implementation Funding Request: $99,876 • Implementation costs will cover: • Completion of programming for the project • 852 hours at $113 per hour = $96,276 • First Year of Hosting Fees • $3,600

  7. Benefit to Veterans • Will expedite applications • Quicker to complete for veteran • Process time at IDVA will be increased • Veterans are an increasingly technologically savvy population and some prefer completing applications online • Veterans can become frustrated filling out claims by hand especially when suffering from a combat or service related injury or illness

  8. Benefit to Veterans • IDVA anticipates up to 750 veterans and counties will utilize the online applications annually • Counties will be able to apply for benefits while the veteran is in there office • Searchable database will allow IDVA to have a updated address for veterans and will be able to identify veterans from a certain demographic – Allowing us to send them updated benefit information.

  9. Benefit to Veterans • Eliminates margin of error for processing applications. • Frees up staff by reducing paperwork to process other claims. Thank you
