  5. Requested Process (To-Be) • Automatic export of service order data to Adobe Form • Automatic emailing PDF from SAP to ASP(Authorized service partner) • ASP fills form and attaches digital signature • Data extraction from Adobe into SAP using FTP • Attachment Handling • Translations

  7. Why FTP ? • Designed for File Transfer • Replaces email-internet-connection • Faster • No file size limit • No job that reads emails and move/stores attachments • Easier overview of transferred files on both sides

Flow - File Transfer using FTP • ASP put the Adobe form and necessary attachment on FTP Server in respective folder. • ABAP program reads FTP folder and locate Adobe form and attachments. • PDF data is uploaded to respective tables and attachment to the header of Service Order. • Files moved from source folder to target folder.
