  3. Rhyme repetition of similar sounds, especially the end of a word

  4. End Rhymes found at the end of two lines Example: The garbage rolled on down the hall, It raised the roof, it broke the wall.

  5. Internal Rhyme occurs within the lines Example: She’s scour the pots and scrape the pans, Candy the yams and spice the hams.

  6. Exact Rhymes Last part of the two words are identical Example: tree and free

  7. Slant Rhymes Sounds that almost rhyme Example: Milly Molly and

  8. Rhyme Scheme Sarah Cynthia Sylvia Stout Would not take the garbage out!
