Challenges & Needs • Student Affairs is essentially covering the cost of the Post Office for the entire university, subsidizing $90,000 in addition to housing mailboxes. • Postal Supervisor is taking VSP. This will only leave one full-time employee to administer the entire campus mail and postal operation. Position must be filled to continue existing functions. • Estimated VSP expense = $22,489 • The VSP expense could be realized through a rate increase for box rent and deliveries, to slightly spread the weight of the postal service throughout the entire campus community.
