  2. As Christians, we are not of this world we are DIFFERENT! • We are children of GOD, and of LIGHT • Imitate holy, not evil things

  3. Celebrate the True Light of the World … our LORD JESUS CHRIST & all His saints ALL SAINTS DAY … ALLELUIA CELEBRATION!

  4. THE MANNA & THE QUAIL

  5. God did wonderful miracles … • 10 plagues • Parted the Red Sea • Led with pillar of cloud& fire • To test their faith, God led the Israelites into the desert

  6. Hungry & tired, the people started to complain again! “… you brought us into this desert to kill this whole assembly with hunger” RED SEA

  7. In Egypt … they were beaten as slaves • But they had meat to eat • They missed being SLAVES!

  8. “I have heard the grumbling of the Israelites.  Tell them, ‘At twilight you will eat meat, and in the morning you will be filled with bread.  Then you will know that I am the Lord your God.“ 3 RULES • Collect only what is needed • Eat all before morning • Collect twice as much on the 6th day

  9. That evening … flocks & flocks of quail came • In the morning … a white powdery substance on the ground – tasted like wafers with honey! • They praised God!

  10. Not all obeyed … • Some left food until morning, it stank & filled with worms … YUK! • Some collected too much, but find they only had enough • Some went out on the 7th day, found nothing!

  11. WHY ?!?!? God wanted to teach them: • NOT to be GREEDY • To depend on God • To be obedient

  12. The Lord commanded Moses … “Fill an omer with the manna to be kept for your generations, so they may see the bread you ate in the desert when the Lord led you out of the land of Egypt” “I am the BREAD of LIFE”(John 6:35)

  13. What is the symbol of MANNA? • OLD TESTAMENT • Manna from HEAVEN to feed the Israelites • NEW TESTAMENT • WHO came down from HEAVEN to feed us? Our Lord JESUS CHRIST! • He gives us His BODY & BLOOD through COMMUNION “I am the bread of life”

  14. THE LORD’S PRAYER … “Our Father who art in heaven … give us this day our daily bread …” We ask our Lord to take care of us & provide for us So PRAY, PRAY, PRAY!!!

  15. So when we are scared … • CALL ON GOD … Pray always, Jesus prayer • BE THANKFUL … Don’t complain • REPENT & CONFESS … Let go of your sins, Spiritual Notebook
