Advancing Development Goals through Higher Education Partnerships

The Higher Education for Development (HED) initiative focuses on forging partnerships between U.S. higher education institutions and host country universities to tackle various development challenges. Key areas include health, global food security, education, and workforce development, among others. With the collaboration of USAID, HED aims to create sustainable solutions through improved access to education and resources in developing nations, including strategies for crisis situations and climate change resilience. This roundtable discussion on March 28, 2011, explored innovative approaches to empower local capacities.
