  3. Program Overview Mission: Research, develop, procure, field and dispose of Collective Protection equipment and systems that protect personnel and equipment from chemical, biological, radiological and toxic industrial contamination within controlled boundaries. 050426_APBI_JPM_CP

Program Overview (cont’d) • Collective Protection (CP) Provides: • Protection to Mission Essential Resources Afforded to Controlled Areas or Zones Allowing a Force Structure to Operate Safely, at Near-normal Levels While in a Chemical, Biological, Radiological, or Toxic Environment. • Essential Resources Include: • Personnel and Equipment • Mobile Assets (Vehicles, Ships, Aircraft) • Transportable Assets (Hard & Soft Shelters) • Fixed Assets (Buildings) 050426_APBI_JPM_CP

Warfighter Needs • Environmental Control of Areas or Zones to: • Prevent Infiltration of CBR and Toxic Industrial Hazards • Supply Clean, Breathable Air • Allow Ingress and Egress Without Compromising the Protected Boundary • Areas Typically Collectively Protected: • Mission Critical • Command and Control • Medical Care • Rest and Relief • Weapon System Control 050426_APBI_JPM_CP
