What is the Rewards Program? • The Rewards Program is a means by which chapter leaders can assess member participation in chapter activities through an organized system for logging points for member activity in the chapter What is the purpose of the Rewards Program? • To provide members with tangible and obtainable rewards in exchange for being an active member in the chapter Who is eligible for participation? • Any GK member, with the exception of members in the Executive Board during their term of office as active membership is a requirement of being an officer.

What are the Benefits? • Five different point levels can be reached, each with their own set of rewards that can be obtained • Rewards stack, but can only choose one option per point level • Example: a member with Silver Member status can gain: • Either a cap or a tumbler, AND • Either a mug or a 12-pack of pencils, AND • Either a pen or a tote bag, • Note: Upon reaching a point-level, members will be contacted and asked to provide their choice of reward pertaining to that point level. Rewards will be distributed near the end of the Spring semester before finals week. The Chapter will give at least 2-3 weeks for members before Spring semester’s finals week to claim their rewards. Points reset at end of Spring semester)

How are points recorded? • Sign-in sheets will be available at every event to record and log member attendance • At conclusion of each event, an officer will update member points in the GIN System database, which contains a list of all members as well as the points they have accumulated • Members can view their points in GIN Logging in to GIN for first time: • Type in ‘Golden Key’ under “Enter name of your organization below” • Click on ‘California State University, Long Beach’ for “Select your group” • Enter user name (first initial of first name and complete last name) and the password: changeme • Create a member profile and change your password • Having trouble? How are points earned? • 3 points for attending the New Member Recognition Event • 2 points per fundraising event attended • 2 points per General Member meeting attended • 1 point per GK-hosted workshop or committee meeting attended • 1 point per hour of community service with Golden Key completed • 1 point per social event attended • 1 point per every Golden Key referral made to a qualified student that results in that student joining Golden Key (student must e-mail csulbgk.president@gmail.com stating who referred him/her to Golden Key for the referral to be credited)

The Chapter freely offers this program as an additional incentive to encourage active member involvement. Thus, please note that the Chapter reserves the right to, at any time, make changes to any part of the Rewards Program as is deemed necessary by the Executive Board. The Chapter WILL notify members via e-mail of any changes that are to take effect while the program is in place. The Chapter is not responsible for rewards that are lost or left unclaimed by members. Members participating in this program will agree to abide by the terms and conditions of this program, as well as any decisions by the Executive Board made to alter the program.
