And to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed? 2 For He shall grow up before Him as a tender plant, And as a root out of dry ground. He has no form or comeliness; And when we see Him, There is no beauty that we should desire Him. 3 He is despised and rejected by men, A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him; He was despised, and we did not esteem Him.

  4. QUESTIONS: ISAIAH 53:1-3 THE SIN-BEARING MESSIAH 1 Who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed? 2 For He shall grow up before Him as a tender plant, And as a root out of dry ground. He has no form or comeliness; And when we see Him, There is no beauty that we should desire Him. 3 He is despised and rejected by men, A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him; He was despised, and we did not esteem Him. WHAT DID ISAIAH ASK? WHY? WHO IS THIS PROPHECY ABOUT? WHEN WILL THIS PROPHECY BE FULFILLED?

  5. QUESTIONS: ISAIAH 53:1-3 1 Who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed? WHAT DID ISAIAH ASK? WHY? Who has believed our report? WHAT IS THIS PROPHECY ABOUT? READ: ISAIAH 29:14 14 Therefore, behold, I will again do a marvelous work Among this people, A marvelous work and a wonder; For the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, And the understanding of their prudent men shall be hidden."

  6. QUESTIONS: ISAIAH 53:1-3 WHAT DID ISAIAH ASK? WHY? Who has believed our report? WHAT IS THIS PROPHECY ABOUT? READ: ISAIAH 40:10 10 Behold, the Lord GOD shall come with a strong hand, And His arm shall rule for Him; Behold, His reward is with Him, And His work before Him. NKJV READ: ISAIAH 49:4 4 Then I said, 'I have labored in vain, I have spent my strength for nothing and in vain; Yet surely my just reward is with the LORD, And my work with my God.'"

  7. QUESTIONS: ISAIAH 53:1-3 WHAT DID ISAIAH ASK? WHY? Who has believed our report? WHAT IS THIS PROPHECY ABOUT? READ: ISAIAH 52:8 8 Your watchmen shall lift up their voices, With their voices they shall sing together; For they shall see eye to eye When the LORD brings back Zion. NKJV READ: ISAIAH 52:15 15 So shall He sprinkle many nations. Kings shall shut their mouths at Him; For what had not been told them, they shall see, And what they had not heard, they shall consider. NKJV

  8. QUESTIONS: ISAIAH 53:1-3 WHAT DID ISAIAH ASK? WHY? Who has believed our report? WHAT IS THIS PROPHECY ABOUT? READ: MARK 6:4-6 4 But Jesus said to them, "A prophet is not without honor except in his own country, among his own relatives, and in his own house.“ 5 Now He could do no mighty work there, except that He laid His hands on a few sick people and healed them. 6 And He marveled because of their unbelief. Then He went about the villages in a circuit, teaching. NKJV

  9. Who has believed our report? READ: JOHN 12:37-41 37 But although He had done so many signs before them, they did not believe in Him, 38 that the word of Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spoke: "Lord, who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed?" 39 Therefore they could not believe, because Isaiah said again: 40 "He has blinded their eyes and hardened their hearts, Lest they should see with their eyes, Lest they should understand with their hearts and turn, So that I should heal them." 41 These things Isaiah said when he saw His glory and spoke of Him. NKJV

  10. Who has believed our report? READ: ROMANS 10:16-21 16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, "LORD, who has believed our report?“ 17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. 18 But I say, have they not heard? Yes indeed: "Their sound has gone out to all the earth, And their words to the ends of the world." 19 But I say, did Israel not know? First Moses says: "I will provoke you to jealousy by those who are not a nation, I will move you to anger by a foolish nation." 20 But Isaiah is very bold and says: "I was found by those who did not seek Me; I was made manifest to those who did not ask for Me." 21 But to Israel he says: "All day long I have stretched out My hands To a disobedient and contrary people."

  11. QUESTIONS: ISAIAH 53:1-3 WHAT DID ISAIAH ASK? WHY? And to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed? WHAT IS THIS PROPHECY ABOUT? READ: ROMANS 1:16-17 16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. 17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, "The just shall live by faith." 1 CORINTHIANS 1:18 18 For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. NKJV

  12. QUESTIONS: ISAIAH 53:1-3 2 For He shall grow up before Him as a tender plant, And as a root out of dry ground.
