According to Your Faith Matthew 10:37-39 (NIV) Anyone who loves his father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves his son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me; [38] and anyone who does not take his cross and follow me is not worthy of me. [39] Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.

Consider • In what ways do people put human relationships before their relationship with God? • What do you think it means to lose your life for Christ’s sake? • Missionary martyr Jim Elliot said, “He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain that which he cannot lose.” • What kinds of things is God asking believers today to give up for Him?
