  2. PROMOTING A CORNER OF EUROPE PURPOSE: Developing communication skills in foreign languages through IT and media in the context of European diversity.

  3. SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES Developing communication skills in English for both students and teachers; Promoting teamwork on the principle of European values; Presenting socio-cultural and geographical similarities and differences; Developing IT skills and media resources for the implementation of the project; Developing basic communication skills in the target language; Awareness of the national identity, the cultural heritage and the geographical areas in order to promote tourism; Promoting the aesthetic and artistic sense and the linguistic knowledge through the products created; Developing skills needed in tourism marketing; Creating direct links between the students and the teachers involved in the project in order to learn how other school systems work.

  4. Activities • creating and managing the project’s web page; • drafting and editing the digital photo album; • creating and editing the “2011 Calendar” the printed version and the electronic version;

  5. ACTIVIties • drafting and editing the “ Marketing and IT” auxiliary the electronic version; • translating the on-line courses in “Learning a foreign language” and on-line courses in “Developing advertisements” from English into the target language; • translating the national curriculum and the “Marketing and IT “ course from English into the target language; • realizarea de vizite tematice, de fotografiere a atracţiilor turistice din zona de reşedinţă;

  6. ACTIVIties • writing essays and travel notes; • creating and printing the leaflet of the project; • chatting on the messenger and forums; • advertising the project in the school and in the local media;

  7. ACTIVITies • developing on-line courses in learning foreign languages (Romanian, Lithuanian); • organising the on-line Essay contest.

  8. ACTIVItIes • organising a photoexhibition
