WP2 Objectives • Support the synergy between the TRANSCAT project and the other previous and ongoing international projects • Build a bridge between research projects and ongoing activities related to WFD and to the TRANSCAT partner • Develop a platform for supporting pan-European cooperation on networking and allow a more detailed insight into problems related to water resource use • General criterion: take advantage of synergies, avoiding duplication of efforts

How to reach the WP2 Objectives Task 2.1: Creating a European-wide forum - TRANSCAT e-news - TRANSCAT e-conference Task 2.2: Connecting TRANSCAT - EU institutions - A two-day workshop DL2.1 Establishment of an electronic Discussion forum (e-mailing discussion list) DL2.2 Report of European founded projects, with identification and evaluations of their contribution and impact to TRANSCAT

  5. TRANSCAT e-news1st issue, 8 August 2003 • Subscriptions: until today, we count 67 subscribers who will receive the next NL issue. • We expect a higher number of subsciptions as soon as the NL will be put online on the TRANSCAT website.

TRANSCAT discussion forumOctober 2003 • The discussion forum will be launched soon: there will be some locked topics and some free topics • The locked ones (e-conference) will have a limited time-scale and will be accessible only for registered participants: there will be a document to be discussed.This document will be previously circulated within our mailing lists and some thematic newsletters. • In order to promote an active and constructive discussion, each partner should indicate some scientists/experts that will be invited to give a valid contribution for the e-conference PLEASE SUGGEST TEN NAMES

  8. TRANSCAT CONFERENCEVenice, 24-26 March 2004 • The conference will be a closed event: 50/60 participants • Invited speakers: 5 invited speakers are foreseen. UNESCO Office in Venice will probably suggest one name. • Participation support: UNESCO gives the Project Partners the possibility to propose max 10 project experts and representatives from Eastern Europe, and in particular from South-East Europe. • Call for papers: abstract deadline: 31th October 2003 PLEASE SUGGEST OTHER FOUR NAMES PLEASE SUGGEST SOME NAMES WHO WILL BE THE EVALUATORS?
