  2. Criterion A: Read the news item carefully. Choose an appropriate social and ethical concern and describe the relationship of the primary stakeholder to the IT system. Doing this will also assist in reaching the top markbands in criteria B, C and D. • Criterion B: Use IT terms to describe the step-by-step process of how the IT system works, going beyond information given in the article. Explain the relationship between the IT system and the concern described in criterion A. • Criterion C:Analyse and evaluate the impact of the issues on stakeholders with clear references to the article. • Criterion D: Evaluate one solution related to an issue identified in criterion C. Additional solutions will not be rewarded.

  3. Initial Reading of the Article and instructions for the students: 1. Draw a box around IT terminology and make sure you understand it. 2. Circle any other unfamiliar words and define them. 3. Use the ITGS Template to relate the information in the article to the Triangle. 4. Identify (highlight in different colors, draw colored boxes) the parts of the article that relate to the stakeholders,social / ethical issue(s),the IT concepts and processes , the impact(s) of the situation/issue on stakeholders, a problem arising from the article, a solution to that problem. Be aware that not every practice article will contain all of these. 5. Describe, step by step, how the IT system in the article works. Additional research may be needed. 6.Relate this article to other articles you have read and to any material you have studied in class (especially IT concepts and processes).
