purpose of the pdq
Purpose of the PDQ

General Overview

The position description questionnaire (PDQ) is used to document responsibilities, functions, and requirements of each job.

The answers provided on the questionnaire will assist in updating USU’s job matches and classifications. Classifications are used for the following:

  • Update job descriptions
  • Development of job titling protocol so titles are used consistently
  • Selection of benchmark jobs
  • Define essential job criteria and functions

This questionnaire will not be used to eliminate jobs or impact salaries.
