  1. Adventure Park Design • You have been selected to design the grounds and attractions of Adventure Park. • Please include: • Rides • Water Park • Extreme Sports Area • Restaurant • Walking Paths • Arcade • Organizing your Park • Each Square on the grid paper equals 1cm² (1cm x 1cm). • Your design must include at least 2 of each of the following shapes: Triangle, Parallelogram, Trapezoid and Complex Shapes. Shapes MUST be colour coded (for example all triangles are coloured blue) • On a Piece of Grid Paper, draw a diagram to • represent the space needed for the grounds and • different attractions. (32 marks) • 4. Calculate the Area of the 8 shapes • you have drawn. Show your work – See back of • this page (48 marks) • 5. Create a table to show the area of each shape. (12 marks) • 6. The Extreme Sports Area needs to be paved. It costs $16.00/cm² • to have it paved. How much will it cost to pave the Extreme • Sports Area? (8 marks) Learning Goal: We are learning to calculate the area of parallelograms, triangles, trapezoids and complex shapes
