Located on the foothills of the Himalayas and named after the famous hunter and conservationist Jim Corbett, the Corbett National Park is the oldest national park in India. It was established in the year 1936 with aim to preserve and conserve wildlife, particularly the endangered Royal Bengal Tiger. The park, covering an area of 520.8 sq. km, is now an important attraction for Indian as well as foreign tourists who come here to fulfil their desires of seeing wildlife in their natural habitat.
