  1. Tuesday, 3/04 • Please hand-in your blue warm-up sheet from last week and pick-up a pink sheet for this week. • List three push factors and three pull factors for going west. Be sure to be specific!

  2. Friday, 2/28 • Please pick-up a laminated map and a survey. • Take the next 10 minutes to complete the mapping and questions from Wednesday and the survey. • We will have our “real” warm-up soon!

  3. Friday, 2/28 – “Real” Warm-Up • Think of three reasons why you may have been pushed to go West. • Pull out your green learning map with the scrambled words on the back. Did you figure them out?

  4. Here are some clues for the words you are unscrambling . . . Who’s out west?

  5. CLOSER - Fri., 2/28 Howdy Partner! Use the vocabulary from Talkin’ Like a Cowboy to write a postcard to your Mama ‘bout ridin’ the range on your Closer section for today!

  11. When you finish the test . . . • Make sure your name and test version are on your answer sheet. • Bring everything up to the desk. • Work on the closer: WESTWARD EXPANSION w/ one word or short phrase for each letter. • Work on the word search and logic puzzle that you pick up at the desk.

  12. Extra Credit • The word search will count half as much as the puzzle on the back. The points will be added to your test score. • It must be complete to receive the extra credit points! • Work on them now and continue through the weekend. I will collect them on Monday.

  13. Wednesday, 10/16 – 3rd/4th Periods Only Due to PSAT Schedule If you were to walk onto a Native American reservation today, what would you expect to see regarding the lives of the Native Americans?

Do not touch the paperwork on the table. • Answer the following question for warm-up:In your opinion, what are the three most important facts that other students need to learn about regarding your group and their role in the settling the West?

I will not hunt for your project! • Save it to your thumb drive if you are planning on continuing to work on this at home. Be sure to send me your final project by tomorrow! • Print a copy of your Power Point so that you have a hard copy of it.
