  4. 7 Things to Emulate in Fighting for the Promise

  5. 1. Settle this in your mind & make a decision to act (vv. 31-37) • QUESTIONS: • On a scale of 0 – 100%, to what extent have you settled in your mind that God wants to start a movement around YOU at THIS TIME? • How do you need to settle this and act decisively?

  6. 2. Jettison things that don’t help – go lean (vv. 38-39) • QUESTION: • What do you need to say “NO” to in order to focus on the most essential components of CPM strategy?

  7. 3. Use proven things (vv. 39-40) • QUESTION: • What has God shown you this week is a proven strategy, tool or method that you need to use often?

  8. 4. Don’t be intimidated but remember the promise (vv. 40-47) • Do not believe your EYES or the LIES but rather the PROMISE! • QUESTION: • What is your greatest fear in moving forward? Have you lost faith? • Pray for each other that the shouts of the promise will be stronger than the shouts of the lies!

  9. 5. Run to the battle: take initiative & work hard (vv. 48-51) • Even when you don’t have the next steps worked out. JUST START! • QUESTION: • Does the depth of your work ethic match the potential of the promise? • What is the first step you need to take from here?

  10. 6. Move to the next stage (vv. 54, 57) • QUESTION: • When God gives you a breakthrough, are you willing to push through to the next stage? • Will you order your schedule around THEIR world?

  11. 7. Sojourn in the Tent of God and not the Valley of Elah! (vv. 15, 19-20) – Psalm 15:1 • It is a dangerous thing to taunt a person who sojourns in the tent of God! • QUESTION: • What disciplines or reminders do you need in your life to camp in God’s presence rather than the enemy’s lies?
