  1. “Are people born wicked? Or is wickedness thrusted upon them?” --- Glinda Before Dorothy came into the land of Oz, there were two girls that met one another that would forever change the destiny of the land of Oz. One named Elphaba would later become known as the Wicked Witch of the West and the other, Glinda would later be known as the Good Witch of the North, Wicked is a novel, later transformed into a musical that tells the story of Elphaba and her path to wickedness.

  2. Characters Elphaba S She was born with green skin and has been mistreated her entire life. She was born in Munchkinland and it Is hinted that her birth father is really The Wizard of Oz. During her stay at Shiz University, she is prophesized to become an Eminent of Oz where she will become an undercover governor of Oz. In her fight for Goodness in the land of Oz she becomes Misguided and becomes known as the Wicked Witch of the West.

  3. Glinda She is a smart and bubbly girl who meets Elphaba at Shiz and eventually becomes her best friend. She is prophesized to become the second Eminent of Oz. In her path through life, she becomes very talented in sorcery and is given the title of Glinda the Good Witch of the North.

  4. Nessarose The younger sister Elphaba. In the novel, she was born without arms but in the musical she was simply born crippled and had lived her life in a wheel chair. However she has an incredible mind and is the last to be prophesized to become an Eminient of Oz. She is fairly conservative and bitter from the years of being handicapped. During her lifetime she is given the famous Ruby slippers that Dorothy will later posess. These slippers Contain great power. Like her sister she loses sight of truth and eventually becomes the Wicked Witch Of the East.

  5. The Prophecy While at Shiz university, Elphaba’s professor Madame Morrible prophecized That Elphaba, her sister Nessarose and Glinda will one day become the Eminents of Oz. This means that they will one day become the behind the scenes secret governors of Oz. She also prophesizes that Glinda will reign the North, Elphaba will reign the West and Nessarose will reign the East.

  6. The Road to Wickedness Elphaba was not always as wicked as she would become. She began a misguided teenager who had few friends but stuck to what she knew and was content with her life. However while at Shiz university, she learned that the Animals (animals who live and behave like people) throughout Oz had been being discriminated against. While she worked with a professor at school to try and prevent this discrimination, she became obsessed with cleansing Oz of it’s discriminations. She would eventually meet with the Wizard of OZ when she would tell him of the horrible things have been happening within Oz, However she would easily learn that it was the Wizard of Oz himself who was behind it. From that moment on she dedicated herself into fighting against the wizard. As the years would go by she would become a parts of assassination groups to kill the wizard and save the animals. What started as the goodness within to help the animals, became an obsession to save them and eventually kill the wizard and his followers. Once Elphaba became Established as a talented witch, she began creating an army to fight against her enemies. This would lead her to be feared by people through Oz who would name her the Wicked Witch of the West.

  7. Elphaba’s Downfall Ding DongTheWitch isDead TheWickedWitchis Dead!!!! AND ELPHABA MELTS TO SMOKE!!! Years later, a girl named Dorothy stumbled her way into Oz And became a new opposing force to Elphaba. Then Glinda took the magical ruby slippers and gave them to Dorothy and puts a spell on them so that they won’t come off in hope that Elphaba would not be able to get a hold on their great power. Dorothy goes on a journey to find her way home back to Kansas. She meets a Scarecrow, a Lion, and a Tin Man who help her along the way. However Elphaba is furious that Dorothy killed her beloved Nessarose and took The slippers that are rightfully hers, so she attempts to find DorothyAnd kill her so she can take that slippers back. When Elphaba finds Dorothy, Dorothy pours a bucket of water on Elphaba’s head…..
