  3. OPERATION SHOUT! • A significant component of NAHU's legislative success is based on our ability to show legislators how important specific issues are to our members. In order to achieve these goals, NAHU relies on YOU to e-mail your federal and state legislators through Operation Shout!

  5. OPERATION SHOUT • In addition to e-mailing elected officials, Operation Shout! also enables members to view political background information, links to federal and state-level government websites, media information, voting records, bill summaries, PAC details, election candidates and more! .

  6. OPERATION SHOUT! It is important to remember that a significant component of NAHU’s legislative success is based on our ability to show legislators how important specific issues are to our members. In order to achieve these goals, NAHU relies on us to send letters via electronic mail or to call your state or federal representative in response to federal alerts.

  7. STATE LEVEL OPERATION SHOUT State level Operation Shout is probably the most under-utilized tool. NAHU Legislative staff will draft the letters, send the Operation Shout to your members and track the responses!

  9. ELECTED OFFICIALS Connects members with elected officials, agencies and organizations. Members can send messages via electronic mail to members of Congress, the President or other governmental officials. You can also find out who represents you on the federal, state and local level by entering your zip code

  10. ISSUES & LEGISLATION This is the heart of Operation Shout! You have four (4) areas that can be assessed #1. Legislative Alerts & Updates News and information about important issues #2. Current Legislation Summaries and status information about key bills #3. Key Votes Key congressional roll call votes #4. Capital Hill Basics Tips about communicating with Members and general information about Hill staffers, the legislative process and more.

  13. MEDIA GUIDE Operation Shout also enables members to extend their reach beyond Capitol Hill to the media! You can send original or customized e-mails, faxes and printed letters to the members of the media, based on city, state type of media and MORE!

  14. CONGRESS TODAY Located on the first page of Operation Shout. This provides floor and committee schedules for the US House of Representatives and US Senate. These schedules are updated daily.

  15. MEGA VOTE Located on the first page of Operation Shout. I would like to encourage you to sign up for MegaVote. When Congress is in session, you will receive weekly e-mails on key votes taken by your Senators & Representatives.

  16. WEB STICKERS Located on the first page of Operation Shout. Have your webmaster put these Web Stickers on their web site! Web Stickers are available in various styles. This is a powerful tool that helps drive traffic to NAHU’s site from other sites, for example, a state chapter website.

  17. ACTION E-LIST Located on the first page of Operation Shout. NAHU needs to locate our biggest grassroots supporters. People who can be contacted at a moment’s notice to respond to a specific piece of legislation. The Action E-list feature allows members to sign-up quickly and easily.

  18. TELL A FRIEND Located at the bottom of every page of the Operation Shout site. This feature allows users to send to one or more friends an e-mail with a link to any page on Operation Shout, including news, alerts, votes and other legislative-related information.
