  2. Special Guestroom Attendant Tasks • Correct problems found during inspection. • Perform end-of-shift duties. • Set up or remove special guest service equipment. • Clean multi-room guest suites. • Provide evening turn-down service.

  3. What is the benefit of cleaning the guestroom correctly the first time? The guest room attendant will feel less tired at the end of the shift and the property will be more profitable.

  4. End-of-Shift Duties • Empty dirty linens and trash bags. • Restock the housekeeping cart. • Clean the vacuum cleaner. • Clean and arrange the housekeeping closet. • Return supplies and amenities to the housekeeping department. • Inquire with supervisor about other tasks to complete. • Sign in the housekeeping key. • Return guestroom keys. • Get a package pass.

  6. Clean Multi-Room Guest Suites • Use same procedures as standard rooms • Clean and water live plants • Clean wet bars and kitchenettes. • Fill ice trays

Turning Down the Bed • Fold back the top of the bedspread. • Pull the top corner of the top sheets and blanket back to form a triangle. • Turn down both sides if two people are sharing a bed. • Fluff the pillows. • Place a neatly folded terry bathrobe at the foot of the bed (not all properties do this).

  9. Tidying During Turndown Service • Replace dirty ashtrays and glasses. • Collect food service tray. • Empty trash. • Vacuum. • Remove used terry from bathroom. • Straighten and wipe vanity and tub. • Refill toilet and facial tissue. • Close drapes. • Turn on bedside lamp and radio.
