INCAN CIVILIZATIONDecline- 1535 • In A.D. 1533 the Spanish arrived in South America. • Hungry for territory, and for converts to Christianity, the Spanish overwhelmed the Incan Empire. • Their armies were no match for the far superior Spanish technologies. • The Incan Empire disappeared completely, though its people remained in the region.
