La Estrategia Regional de Biodiversidad y el Sistema Regional de Conservación se impulsan desde el Grupo Técnico Regional de Diversidad Biológica de Cajamarca (RER Nº 290–2004–GR–CAJ/P, del 25.05.04.).

Es el conjunto de normas, instrumentos, procedimientos y técnicas en el cual, las instancias de la administración pública y los actores públicos y privados de la sociedad civil articulan los intereses y objetivos regionales de conservación de la biodiversidad a los objetivos locales y nacionales, bajo una lógica de conectividad de los ecosistemas, conservación y uso sostenible de la biodiversidad y promoción del desarrollo regional, respaldado por un sustento normativo y financiero • ¿QUÉ ES EL SIRECC?

OBJETIVO GENERAL • «Conservar una muestra de la biodiversidad nativa y de los ecosistemas representativos de Cajamarca, agrupados bajo distintas estrategias de conservación y aprovechamiento sostenible, que mantengan entre sí una coherencia y articulación ecológica, espacial, administrativa, normativa e institucional con el fin de mantener los servicios ecosistémicos para las actuales y futuras generaciones.»

  5. Componente Biofísico – Territorial: el territorio y sus elementos bióticos y abióticos. • Componente Social – Institucional: organizaciones de base, sociedad civil y sector privado. SISTEMA REGIONAL DE CONSERVACIÓN DE LAS ÁREAS NATURALES DE CAJAMARCA • COMPONENTES DEL SISTEMA • Componente Normativo: base legal que respalda al Sistema. • Componente Programático – Financiero: ejecución de la gestión del Sistema
