  2. The Nun, Her story: • She was using being a nun as cover to stay in a higher class. • Textual evidence: To counterfeit a courtly kind of grace. She is faking her grace

  3. How she speaks and acts • She is a cheerful and happy person. She loves to smile. • She speaks french with refined manners. • She has good manners and is very clean. • She is caring towards animals. Textual Evidence: Says that her manners were well taught withal. Says she speaks daintily in french. Says she would weep if she saw a mouse caught in a trap.

  4. How she looks and dresses By day: She is clean and wears a nuns cloak that is very refined. Textual Evidence: Her cloak I noticed had a graceful charm. By night: She dressed in modest. Textual Evidence: She wore a coral trinket on her arm, a set of beads the gaudies tricked in green.

  5. Lawyer, His story The Lawyer was very smart, he serves the people in St. Paul. Textual Evidence: Weary and wise for clients at St. Paul. Very high ranked Lawyer. Textual Evidence: His fame and learning in his high position had earned him many a robe and many a fee.

  6. How he speaks and acts He is very intelligent, free and simple. Also a very hard worker, Textual Evidence: Though there was nowhere one so busy as he, he was less busy then he seemed to be. But he knew every judgment, case, and crime.

  7. How he looks and dresses He wears a colored coat, and pin striped items. Textual Evidence: He wore a homely parti colored coat.
