  2. Bias A slant toward a particular point of view caused by a sampling procedure.

  3. Population A group of people that researchers want to study to make a prediction or draw a conclusion.

  4. Qualitative Data Data that falls into categories

  5. Statistics The science of collecting data and interpreting the data in order to draw a conclusion or make a prediction.

  6. Supplementary Angles Two angles whose measure total 180 degrees.

  7. Quantitative Data Data that is numerical.

  8. Transversal A line that intersects one or more other lines in a plane.

  9. Range The set of outputs of a function.

  10. Parallelogram A quadrilateral with two pairs of parallel sides.

  11. Complementary Angles Two angles whose measures total 90 degrees.

  12. Domain The set of inputs of a function.

  13. Rhombus A parallelogram with four sides of equal length.

  14. Experimental Probability The ratio of the number of times an event occurs to the number of trials.

  15. Net A two-dimensional images of the surfaces of a solid.

  16. Volume The amount of space contained inside a geometric solid.

  17. Theoretical Probability The ratio of favorable outcomes to all possible outcomes.

  18. Scientific Notation A method of writing a number as product of a decimal number between 1 and 10 and a power of 10.

  19. Function A mathematical rule that identifies a relationship between two sets of numbers.

  20. Surface Area The combined area of the surfaces on the sides of a geometric solid.

  21. Circumference The distance around a circle.
