  4. Target Audience • Boys and Girls • Ages 6-9 •  English-speaking

  5. Relevancy of Our Product in the 21st Century • The obesity rate has tripled since the late 1970s and early 1980s. It jumped from 6.5% to 19.6% • Childhood obesity can lead to heart disease, high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, high cholesterol, and other life threatening health issues • Children ages 8-18 on average own about 2.3 console video game players • More than one hour a day is spent playing video games

Determining Our Product's Effectiveness • Focus Groups before and after introduction of product • During these focus groups children will be asked to make food choices • See if there is a difference in food choice after game • Children will be asked about knowledge of nutrition before introduction of game • Children will be asked what they learned and if the game was helpful • Children will be asked if it was entertaining
