  2. My Three Hardware Companies That Begin With “T” …

  3. ThinkOutside • Think outside has been in business since 1998. They specialize in manufacturing products for use in hand-held mobile commuting. Their newest innovation, the Targus stowaway portable computer keyboard, is a full-size QWERTY keyboard that folds to fit in your pocket.

  4. TouchStar • TouchStar, like ThinkOutside specializes in mobile commuting. Some of the products they manufacture are • Touchscreen computers • Peripherals • Printers • Mag stripe readers • Smart card readers, and • Laser scanners • Modems • Wireless wide area and local area networks, and • Satellite systems

  5. Toshiba • Toshiba is a US based company established in 1965 and manufactures electronics and high-technology hardware such as cameras, digital projectors, computer systems, copiers, fax machines medical imaging products, and telecommunication systems just to name a few.

  6. Tamara J. Pullin My three companies were ThinkOutside, TouchStar and Toshiba. • ThinkOutside is a privately owned company so I used ANTEC Corp. because they also manufacture keyboards for hand-held devices. • TouchStar is owned by The Williams Corporation, which is listed as WMB • Toshiba Corporation was listed.

  7. Stock Price Comparison Chart

  8. Tamara’s Recommendations • ANTEC’s stock prices fell drastically over the one-year period. They had a net loss of $46.50 per share. I would not recommend purchasing this stock unless it started to show improvement. (The company I originally picked was a privately owned company, therefore I chose this company based on the similar product for the stock comparison). • TouchStar (owned by The Williams Corp) had a net gain of $5.56 per share. I would recommend this stock based on the type of hardware they manufacture. I believe their product will be a very good seller in the near future. • Toshiba had a net loss of $.37 per share. I would recommend this stock based on the reputation of the company.

  9. Vocabulary Word Definition Mouse Input device which controls your movement on the screen Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) Hand-held computer which supports applications like a personal calendar, calculator, appointment book, etc. CD-RW Compact disk that is erasable. You can write on it multiple times. Vocabulary Chart
