  1. His Call

  2. Matthew 28:18-20 In this Passage what does Jesus want for all nations of people? …to be a disciple. What are we to do with disciples? …baptize them and teach them.

  3. Acts 11:25-26 -A discipleISa Christian. -If we want to know what it means to be a “Christian” we have to know what it is to be a disciple.

  4. Mark 1:14-18 -These are the 1st disciples, our purest example to follow. -In the life of a disciple Jesus’ call is top priority—no excuses. Is Jesus’ call the #1 priority in your life?

  5. Luke 9:23-26 • These words are applicable to ANYONE and they are a MUST. • Deny self DAILY…there are no “days off” from being a disciple.

  6. 1 John 2:3-6 • To be a true disciple one MUST live by the values/practices of Christ. • Saying “I know Jesus”and truly knowing Jesus can be very different things.

  7. Luke 14:25-33 • A disciple must place Jesus FAR above all of their earthly relationships, even those that are the closest to us. • To answer the call of Jesus we need to be willing to go anywhere, do anything and give up everything or we can’t be a disciple/Christian.

  8. John 13:34-35 • We are called to love other Christians as Christ did (without limit). • True Christian fellowships MUST be clearly friendly, loving, trusting environments.

  9. Recap/Questions: -What do you think it means to “fish for men”? Do you fish for men? -What stands out to you about these disciples response to Jesus’ call? -Are you willing to go anywhere, do anything, give everything to answer Jesus’ call? -Do you have the kinds of love each other relationships with other disciples in your life and in your current fellowship?
