  4. Simple Search Option: Type your book title, subject, year of publication or any keywords in the search Box and press SEARCH

  5. Advanced Search

Select the format as Book , and select any other options to narrow the results like Books available In Print Select the status as In Print You can narrow down your search results by giving a Publication Range Enter your search terms according to the field selected Click the arrow and select your desired field to be searched Select the language from the drop down menu and press Add. Do it repeatedly to select multiple languages

  7. Additional Filters After selecting all desired advance search filters Press Search Button or ENTER key through keyboard

  9. ISBN Quick Search • Using Advance Search you can utilize ISBN Quick Search function using any of these two ways • Uploading a CSV file • Copy Paste or Type ISBNs • Remember: Maximum of 85 ISBNs can be uploaded or pasted/entered at a time

How to Create a CSV file? 1: Open MS Excel 2: Type or paste your ISBNs in one Column as shown (max 85 ISBNs). 4: Save your document selecting CSV file format as shown from the Save As Type menu. Give your file some name and press OK. 3: Remove additional Sheets like sheet2 and Sheet3 from the workbook.

  12. How to Upload a CSV File 1: Click Browse and locate your CSV file 2: Click Search to upload and quick search all of the ISBNs provided in your CSV file.

  20. Cloud Area: Discover • The word cloud in the left panel shows you related terms, spelling variations and translations of your search terms. • Click on words in the word cloud to change your search criteria and explore the contents of Books in Print. Here you can Show or Hide Cloud Area

  21. Select results in cloud to narrow the results in new window

  22. The results are refined according to the your selected sub discipline found in cloud. You can go back to your main subject shown in Orange Color any time

  23. Understanding Refine By Area

  24. The right panel displays terms found within the records of your results. Click on any term to focus and narrow your results

  25. Scroll down the result page to see various options to refine your search like, publication date, edition information etc. click any one to refine

  27. Results can be sorted according to Title, author, year of pub etc.

  28. Understanding the symbols used at Search results Page This symbol shows that the book has various editions. So, this symbol can be clicked to see the available editions. The books with this symbol has no editions and can be selected directly using the check box as shown.

Book Details Page Please Check this box prior to clicking the Search Library Catalog You may also search library catalog to know about the existing copies to avoid duplication before selecting the book to order. You may also read the Professional Reviews and Author Biographies. Click any one to read more.

Sending the List(s) to the Deanship of Library Affairs • The lists will only be sent to the Deanship of Library Affairs at library@ud.edu.sa • The lists prepared by the prescribed procedure will be considered for purchase. • Lists sent to any other e-mail or through any other post in any other format will not be entertained. • The book purchase requests will be sent as attachment to the e-mail cited above.
