  1. Where We've Been In March 2012 The Arizona Action Coalition was formed. The purpose of the Arizona Action Coalition is to guide implementation of the recommendations from the Institute of Medicine’s (IOM) Future of Nursing report in Arizona.

  3. Practice Committee 1.Nurses in Arizona should practice to the full extent of their education and training.

  4. Pam Randolph Created the Consensus Model Matrix. • Board of Nursing has changed all regulations that could be changed to fit the consensus model.

  6. Arizona Advanced Practice Registered Nurse Coalition • What we’ve been doing • Strengthen each organization and its membership • Create a legislative plan • Startedworking on 4 separate sunrise applications for each specialty

  7. How Can You Help? • It’s important tobe a member of one or more of the professional organizations involved in the AzAPRN Coalition.

  8. RESEARCH • We need help to compile research and statistics showing the great care APRNS provide to the citizens of Arizona.

  9. We need help in reaching out to all health care and patient advocacy stakeholders.

  10. Promote Your Profession • Hospital newsletters • Educate your patients • Local media • Social Media
