Course Objectives • Explore the role of IT in decision making • Explore the role of IT in supporting business functions’ activities. • Explore the role of information systems in obtaining an organizational competitive advantages • Understand issues related to the use of IT: security, ethics, etc. • Distinguish between types of information systems • Investigate the principles, practice, methodologies and terminology used in designing, developing and implementing information systems in organizations
