  2. A Crane is Needed • Code of Federal Regulations – Part 77 • Any object that affects navigable airspace

  3. Different Governmental Agencies • If on the Airport, Dade County Aviation Department will have separate, additional approval requirements and process. • FAA has several divisions • Responsibility on Crane Operator to obtain all needed approvals

  20. Objective – Determination Letter • Either No Hazard, or • No Hazard with Provisions • Typical: Crane has Flags and Lights at Night • Also: Could Require NOTAM(S) Issued for IFR Procedure Modification - Departure Procedures or Instrument Approach Procedures
