Building Sustainable Businesses ICE-T will • Identify and develop new sustainable business opportunities in Telecare, initially in the 3 thematic areas • Managed Environments - Private care home and domiciliary care market • Workplace - Support for people in work or returning to work, through the workplace • Home settings - Support for fragile individuals or groups • Understand user need – Open Innovation and facilitated workshops: Demand pull, not technology push • Facilitate the formation of collaborative project consortia • Provide support and seed funding to projects developing innovative telecare products and services

  7. ICE-T Showcase Sites ICE-T will establish action research showcase sites Each will be a lead centre for one of the identified themes: Managed Environments, Home Settings, Workplace. Each site will: • be a focus for ICE-T projects • offer facilities for action research, simulating real-life environments reflecting the specific theme • showcase the use of technology in the delivery of care under that theme • establish contacts to act as test sites and provide initial routes to market for technologies and services developed by ICE-T projects

ICE-T Showcase Sites Three dedicated Showcase sites across the SEEDA region Managed Environments Private care home and domiciliary care market Kent Science Park, Sittingbourne Workplace Support for people in work or returning to work, through the workplace University of Southampton Home settings Support for fragile individuals or groups National Spinal Injuries Centre (NSIC) at Stoke Mandeville Hospital in Buckinghamshire
