Welcome to Grade 9 Religion! In this course, we embrace freedom, choice, and responsibility as pathways to success. I encourage students to take charge of their education by being punctual, adhering to the uniform policy, and maintaining a distraction-free environment. Let’s commit to responsibilities such as submitting work on time and reflecting on our achievements through portfolios. Parental involvement is encouraged as students will bring home their portfolios for review. Together, we will create a respectful and productive classroom experience.

  3. Success is my goal… FREEDOM = CHOICE = RESPONSIBILITY

  4. I am free to make choices about my course work. If I make a bad choice, I will be responsible for my choice. • No Excuses.

  5. My Responsibilities: • I will always arrive to class on time. • I will always be in full uniform. • I will leave my phone and/or ipod in my locker/backpack.

  6. My Responsibilities: • I will not bring food into the classroom. • I will sign in with the office with a note if I am late. • I will catch up on work if I have an absence from class.

  7. My Responsibilities: • I will complete my work with care and submit it on time. • Upon entering the classroom, I will take what I need from my school bag and place it at the back of the room to avoid distractions. • I will be respectful of my peers and teacher.

  9. Portfolios • Portfolios are meant to keep all of my summative work • I will track my marks and record them in my portfolio • I will reflect on my achievement and descriptive feedback from my teacher • I will bring my Portfolio home at midterm to have it initialed by my parents
