  1. Why Do Some Students Prefer An Online Degree Online courses continue to register an upward trend with millions of students signing up for them. They’re promoted as an ideal platform for the socially awkward and for students who have a day job to keep. Here are some reasons why students prefer an online degree instead of the conventional classroom based learning: Gives Students The Time To Balance Academics And Family: People who did not think about education during their student life often view online learning as a second chance at learning. Adult life is hectic- one has to balance work, family and other commitments. We’re always starved of time and money. Besides, it is not easy for the early school leavers to go back to college and sit through a class with fellow students half their age. Online colleges give them the opportunity to complete their education with minimal disruption to their daily lives. Online students do not have to worry about missing a class when there’s an urgent deadline at work or if someone’s not well at home. Budget Considerations: Don’t get me wrong on this; online learning is not cheap. Most prestigious colleges offering online programs are as expensive as on-campus programs. But online students get to save significantly on commuting and accommodation. Another important cost saving factor is the availability of textbooks online. On-campus students spend around $2000 on textbooks and study material alone. Ideal for students who’re not comfortable in a classroom environment: Not everyone is interested in sororities, parties, and other frills associated with classroom learning. Students who’d prefer fewer distractions often take up online learning. They’re able to concentrate on the academics and get the most of online learning. Students don’t have to dress up and look presentable only to be able to study- you can take your lecture wearing pajamas. Although online learning requires interaction with instructors and peers, it is much less than what is required of an on-campus student. Interaction is mostly virtual through discussion boards and emails. More choices available: This is especially true with MOOCs. There are several for credit courses available through MOOCs that help students understand the subject that they’re majoring in. For example, a short course on Medieval English Literature can greatly help literature students get in-depth knowledge about their subject. There’s no limit to what students can learn through the online platform. Self-paced learning:

  2. Some colleges do not have an end date allowing students to complete a course at their own pace. This is ideal if you are a slow learner and need time to grasp concepts or if you are a busy person who’d like to pace your course slowly. Although online learning is flexible, it still needs commitment. You will have to complete assignments and homework on time. Time can be a major constraint. To help students, we offer help to students looking to ‘pay someone to take my online class. Looking for a tutor who could ‘take my online class’? We can help you take online classes, tests, assignments, and homework for you.
