Back to the Past – 10 Best Inventions/Discoveries of the 1980s • Space Shuttle – first space shuttle (Columbia) was launched in 1981 • CD/COMPACT DISC – Sony and Phillips joined forces to create • The INTERNET – the 1970s and the 1980s- the ‘Net is now coalescing into a single mass of information to which any connected computer has access

Back to the Past – Continued • The Disposable Camera – camera loaded with film long before the digital camera • Apple McIntosh – a true leader in PCs • Hepatitis B vaccine – any invention that cures or treats any disease is definitely worthy of a top ten list • Microsoft Windows – changed the way we used computers entirely

  4. Back to the Past – Continued • Cellular Phone – first mobile phone created by Motorola in 1983 • First 3D video game – set into motion what we now have with Sony and Microsoft • Definition TV – set all TV manufacturers in motion to improve and seek perfection.
