  1. APRU Real Estate Research Symposium“Asia Pacific Real Estate Markets” Singapore, 16th – 18th July 2007 Host: National University of Singapore Co-organizers: University of Hong Kong University of Southern California Tsinghua University

  2. Objective • To promote and elevate quality real estate research in Asia-Pacific • To strengthen the links between real estate researchers from Asia-Pacific and other parts of the world

  3. Development • First started in 2003 as joint symposium organized by the University of Hong Kong (HKU) and National University of Singapore (NUS) • HKU-NUS symposium attracts high quality research papers and is becoming a platform of choice for real estate researchers in Asia

  4. Topics • Securitized real estate • Housing markets • Mortgage markets • Commercial real estate development and investment • Institutional economic analysis of the real estate markets • Intra and inter region real estate investments

  5. Presentations • Dedicated presentations and designated discussants • Twelve to fifteen papers will be selected by the Program Committee • The Program Committee comprises editorial broad members of JREFE (The Journal of Real Estate Finance & Economics) and other renowned real estate researchers from the US, Europe, Australia, and Asia

  6. Special Issue in Prestigious Journal • All papers will be independently reviewed for their suitability for publication in a special issue of The Journal of Real Estate Finance & Economics (JREFE)
