Module 5.2 Responding to an RFx • Use this procedure as a Supplier to respond to an RFx in E-Sourcing. • Select E-Sourcing URL to go To Log In screen. • https://sourcing.flextronics.com/fsvendor/vendordesktop/login?allow_redirect=true • NOTE: You need to have a Log In and Password, which you should have received in an email. (Reference to Module 5.1 for first time log in and change password) • Helpful Hints: • The URL in the email invitation will take you directly to that RFx, rather than navigating through your workbench. • The Actions button in the RFx allows you access to view the events terms and convert the RFx to a PDF at anytime.

  5. 5.2 Responding to an RFx Click on PROP number below RFx Response; In this example, PROP-00078-Flex-2008 (Represents the system assigned response number)

  6. 5.2 Responding to an RFx If the event owner has requested an Intention to respond you will see this screen Ex. Click Intend to Respond Click Finish Note: The event owner might not request an Intention to respond in all cases, in that you will go directly to the terms page. ( See Next Slide)

  7. 5.2 Responding to an RFx Scroll through and at the bottom click “Accept”, Then click “Finish” Note: If you decline you will be unable to participate or view any part of the RFx. You will be able to decline but go back later and accept the terms to participate

  10. 5.2 Responding to an RFx Respond to the questions as needed Note: Questions with the Orange Asterisk are required Click “Save”

  11. 5.2 Responding to an RFx Click on the blue underlined Proposal Number to return to the main RFx view. In this example, PROP-00078-Flex-2008

  13. 5.2 Responding to an RFx Click on the pencil in the line item you want to respond to.

  14. 5.2 Responding to an RFx Click “1-Line Item-1” to select/open another line item or use the “next >>” to the right of “1-Line Item-1” to move to the next line item Place the per unit price in the field “Price Unit” marked with the asterisk. Note: If there is more than one delivery term availible, you should place the unit price in the appropriate delivery term.

  15. 5.2 Responding to an RFx Respond to each of the line items as needed. To return to the main RFx view select Ex. PROP-00078-Flex-2008

  16. 5.2 Responding to an RFx Click “Save” or Click “Actions” if you want to create a PDF of the RFx.

  18. 5.2 Responding to an RFx Here you can select the phase of the RFx Response. The event owner may elect to skip the Preliminary phase, in which case you will not see a preliminary phase. In this example, there is a Preliminary phase that you must go through prior to moving the PROP into Firm phase. Click “Preliminary”

  20. 5.2 Responding to an RFx Once you have completed the RFx Response, you can advance it to the “Firm Phase” Note: Once you have moved to this phase you will not be able to make any changes to the response. If you are unable to move the response to Firm, you may not be listed as the Primary Contact, You can contact the help desk or ask the primary contact from your company to submit the response as Firm

  24. 5.2 Responding to an RFx You have successfully responded to the RFx!!! Note: Once the event has closed for response, an email notification will be sent once the owner accepts your response, indicating the response has been received and under review/consideration.
