    2. History In 1905 Alfred Binet invented the first modern intelligence test. The test was designed to identify special education needs for Paris school children

    3. Binet-Simon Scale Scale was the foundation for the SB-5 that is used today. The original 1905 scale had 30 tests Tests ranged from simple sensory tasks to complex verbal abstractions. Ex: Grasps a small object which is touched Defines abstract words by designating the difference between “boredom and weariness”

Clinical and neuropsychological assessment Research on abilities Early-childhood assessment Psychoeducational evaluations for special education placements Adult social security and worker’s compensation evaluations Also designed to provide information on for interventions such as IFP, IEP, career assessment, and career change
