  3. 26. Teddy Roosevelt Years in office: 1901-1909 No. of terms: 2 Facts: • Took over for assassinated McKinley • First to use “White House” • The teddy bear is named after him • 1st to ride in an airplane and leave the country as Pres. • Survived an assassination attempt.

William Howard Taft Years in office: 1909 - 1913 No. of terms: 1 Facts: • VERY big…had to have a special tub installed in the White House • Chief Justice of Supreme Court after Presidency • Buried in Arlington Nat’l Cemetery (1 of only 2) • 1st to throw out first pitch and own a car, last w/facial hair.

H.”
