  1. FB7600 Appendix

  2. Print Modes

  3. 1.5mm Print Height The print height can be reduced to 1.5 mm. This feature is enabled from the Preferences/Quality tab and its purpose is to improve the print quality of the text provided the substrate is perfectly flattened on the printing table (otherwise a "rising media" problem might accrue). Note: This feature can be enabled by FSE only after hardware checks and adjustments. The 1.5mm print height is defined in the Substrate Editor for the specific substrate. It can be temporarily changed in the Job Properties window.

  4. 1.5mm Print Height The 1.5mm print height is defined in the Substrate Editor for the specific substrate. It can be temporarily changed in the Job Properties window.

  5. Flexible Media The Flexible Media feature in the Substrate Editor supports automatic loading of thin flexible substrates and enables the user to expand the range of substrates to thinner substrates close to 130 gr/m2 (~5 pt).

  6. Flexible Media • The user may select loading sequence which controls the vacuum zones differently. When Flexible Media is activated, the relevant sequence can be selected from the drop-down menu

  7. Sort By • Sorting according to name and date is available in the following screens: • Add new Job • Add existing Job • Deleted (Job)s from disk • Right click the column heading and select “Sort by name /Sort By Date Modified”.

  8. Print Care

  9. Print Care Overview What are the features available in Print Care? • Better Diagnostics and Troubleshooting • New Calibration Patterns for MNC • White Ink Calibration

  10. Sources of Information

  11. SAW • The engineers should know haw to use and locate technical documentation in SAW

  12. Advanced Printer Guide • Advanced Printer Guide is the FB7600 interactive online manual. To access it, click Advance Printer Guide from the Help menu. • The Advanced Printer Guide significantly saves time and money by providing: • Instant online updates; compared to the printed version that required manual reproduction, duplication and mail distribution • Quick access to required information through the Index and Search tabs; compared to time-consuming searches in the hard copy version, which may also, in time, be lost or misplaced.

  13. Capture Web Site Capture is a web site for HP customers. In Capture site, HP customer can find: printer information, tip & tricks, technical documentation, training materials and more.

  14. GCSN • The GCSN portal enables channel partners to perform various activities, for support purposes, channels partners CE’s have access to the “Technical Information” section only

  15. 11.7.3 Software

  16. What is the “New Working Point”? Before (Old working point) After (New working point) By changing the work point of the print heads – • changing the pulse width to 7 instead of 10 • raising the ink temperature from 38 to 42 – we change the drop shape (making it rounder).

  17. How does it work? – Cont. Prod70 Printing speed: 1.3m/sec Print Height: 2 mm 4 pt. 3 pt. 4 pt. 3 pt.

  18. New Vacuum Caps • New vacuum cups No switch between rigid and flexible substrates • Customer Benefit • Save up to 15 minutes of set up time when changing between jobs, for operator ease of use • Vacuum Cups Upgrade • Ship by mail • Customer self installation only (No engineer visit is required) • * This kit is not part of the MLK and will be available in Q1 as After Market Kit for current install base. • * Q1 Installations - we have created FCO kit to be implemented during the installation; in case of ML installation, the customer will get an additional kit

  19. Enables you to Enable/disable The piston (Vacuum + Up/Down) Suction cup for Rigid and flexible media

  20. LOCK BUSHING – now it is easier to move the piston , improved user experience. and it is also locked it to the beam .

  21. Slider – forcing the piston to move down & up without swiveling Supports thin media, lower position of the assembly OR component –keep the piston up in disable mode

  22. Metallic colors effect ColorLogic application What is it A design application S.W plugin optimized for the FB7600 that enables creation of metallic effect The application Premium and unique POP/POS applications

  23. Metallic colors effect Printing metallic substrates with FB7600 • Tests that were conducted in R&D showed that it is possible to print on metal (reflective) media using the FB7600 without effecting the Print heads health. • Currently only Hazen Silver media is officially certified, with more media types certificates on the way. • For maintaining nozzle health when printing with Hazen Silver, it is recommended to perform maintenance every 2 hours.

  24. Negative Text T&T • By adding 0.25 stroke to thin text (using Adobe Illustrator) we actually compensating for the lines and small text size loss and it will look sharper, yet thicker (depending on stroke size).

  25. Hostert Automatic Loader Hostertunderwent HP qualification As HP’s silver partner. QUALIFICATION RESULTS: • 4-up (multi loader like) • 10 qualified media types • Double-sided • Improved media handling Prerequisites for Autoloader installation: • The auto loader will support only FB7600 and upgraded FB7500 with CP389A • Kits will be sold through AFM
