  • He was born in Salinas, California on February 27, of 1902.
  • In 1937 he wrote a total of 27 books, 16 novels, 6 non-fiction, and 9 short stories.
  • In 1962 he won the Nobel peace prize for Literature.
  • In my opinion I think that John Steinback is a very good writer of children's stories like The Red Pony.
