  3. Childhood • Went to Germantown High School • In High School did tack, football, basketball, and baseball. • Dropped out of High School. • Studied favorite comedian, Jerry Lewis, by imitating him. • Earned equivalency diploma in the Navy.

  4. Adulthood • Enlisted in the Navy • Attended Temple University. • First black actor to star in a dramatic role on TV. • Creator of Bill Cosby Show • Creator of Fat Albert series

  5. Adulthood • Had 4 daughters and one son; Erika Ranee, ErinnChalene, Ensa Camille, • Wrote series of children's books “Little Bill” • In 2003, published a book, “Friends of a feather.” with his daughter. • Bill donated 20 million dollars to a black school, Spelman College, in 1988.
