  8. EVALUATION BY THE PARTICIPANTS • POSITIVE ASPECTS • Diverse social program activities (e.g., Dinner Quizz was great) • Tasty food • Hotel with great facilities, rooms and common spaces • Inspiring and different keynotes • Very nice combination between work and social program • Groups with people from different universities, grounding for future collaboration • Poster presentations were great • Great opportunity to know each other informally

  9. EVALUATION BY THE PARTICIPANTS • NEED FOR IMPROVEMENT • Wi-fi connection • Topics too redundant – Theory building. • More individual time with senior scholars • Create smaller groups and with closer interests • Clearer information about the group tasks • More time for scholars to give feedback on individual presentations • Discussing other aspects (e.g., experiences as an editor; “Meet the expert”) • Visit to the factory with a poor relation to W&O Psychology • Have more free time – e.g. An extra day at the beach 

  10. MEAN = 8,27 STANDARD DEVIATION = 1,51 1 (totally dissatisfied) - 10 (totally satisfied)

  11. EVALUATION BY SENIOR SCHOLARS • TO IMPROVE • Activate Facebook page in advance • More time for scholars to work individually with the participants • Smaller Groups (3-5 people) • Provide the abstracts earlier to the scholars • 2 different groups: PhD’s and Post-Doc’s • Fewer keynote sessions and more workshop sessions • More time for group meetings to create the projects • “Scientific speed-dating”: people would send their abstracts/papers (+/- 7) beforehand and scholars could give personalized feedback on their work; scholars must prepare

  12. EVALUATION BY SENIOR SCHOLARS • TAKE AWAYS • Interaction with the young • More positive impression on EAWOP • Seeing the participants grow as they work through their projects • The feeling that you are helping
