  1. Hampshire TEENAGE PROJECT Activities Booklet – August Edition August is the month of adventure & outdoor activities with a few favorites in the mix as well. We have a we have an exciting outing to the Victorious festival; It promises to be great fun for the day and we are hoping our young people will have some new experiences as well. We will also be looking at our programme for September as well as we need to plan for our second drama production of Star Wars. We will be discussing our plans for this activity on the last Saturday of the month over a yummy lunch at our Broadlaw social.

  2. Portsmouth City Museum & A Picnic! We will be uncovering some of Portsmouth’s historical roots with a trip to the Portsmouth City Museum. We will have a few hours to look round the museum after lunch, hopefully we will all learn something we didn’t know about Portsmouth before which we can take away with us and share with our families and/or friends. Which dark, mysterious or surprising facts will you uncover on Portsmouth’s past? We look forward to hearing them and seeing them as well! Please provide a lunch for our picnic, some snacks will be provided! When: Saturday 2nd August Times: 1-4:30pm Where: Meet outside Portsmouth city museum (main entrance) Cost: £4.00 Havant ‘Fun Arts’ Social! It’s competition time! This activity has a variety of mini arts competitions all for the purposes of fun – and trying to beat the staff members at their art! In this activity we will be making our very own Paper Mache hot air balloons, painting our own self-portraits, having a junk fashion competition (in pairs) and designing our very own group board game as well (along with name/logo/rules etc). We will then have a play at our own game – the winner of the game also receives a prize. When: Saturday 9th August Times: 1-3pm Where: Springwood Community Centre Cost: £5.00 Staunton Country Park! Come and explore the grounds of Staunton Country Park and the beautiful animals too! Have a look at the llamas, alpacas, goats, sheep, pigs, chickens, donkey’s & peacocks. There are also lots of small, cute and furry animals. Everyone together say……… ‘awww’. Bring a packed lunch, plenty to drink, and some sun cream When: Saturday 16th August Times: 12-4pm Where: Staunton Country Park Cost: £6.00 Victorious Festival We have an exciting day planned for Victorious Festival! A day to enjoy time with your friends, experience fun and exciting new experiences such as live music! Have a look at some of the stalls and investigate different activities put on throughout the day! Bring a packed lunch, plenty to drink, and some sun cream When: Sunday 24th August Times: 10am- 4:00pm Where: Southsea common: (outside the funfair) Cost: £10.00*we need to know if you are attending by Friday 8th August at the latest Broadlaw Fish ‘n’ Chips Social! We will be chilling out this weekend with some tasty, good ol’ fashioned British fish & chips (alternative choices as well) and watching a movie on the projector (almost like a proper cinema viewing!!). Lunch and a movie, what better is there? Come and join us for some lunch and lets choose a favourable movie from a selection of genres. Cold beverages and biscuits are also available, so there will be plenty of tasty treats whilst you sit back and relax. When: Saturday 30th August Times: 1-4pm Where:Broadlaw Community Space Cost: £6.00

Hampshire Teenage Project, August 2014 Please provide a packed lunch for your child and make sure they have enough to drink for any day trip out (this month we have Portsmouth City Museum, Staunton Country Park & Victorious Festival). Considering the beautiful weather this summer please make sure your child is fully creamed or has suncream with them and any other protection ! …………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………. Please return the reply slip either by handing it in to Isabella or a member of staff at Enable Ability’s office or by sending the reply slip by email. Please reply ASAP, particularly for the first activity where time is restricted and planning is required for the activity, staff members and to allow us to secure spaces for young people. When the reply slip has been received, I will notify you by email or by phone (your preferred contact method) as confirmation of your booking for the activity.
